I think it all has to do with work load and difficulty.

Syd/ unsw = difficult, high workload = low satisfaction

southern cross, new england = easy workload, easy life = high satisfaction!
heh yeah it's a lot to do with uni life and stuff, and environment

I think you get more individual attention at the "low prestige" unis whereas at usyd/nsw they chuck you in with a lectureroom full of 400 other students (350 of them being international students)

It may also be due to the people who were asked. Some at the larger universities may be more cyncial than those of a regional university. But then again, the 'good' universities guide is a subjective piece of garbage.

Easy workload? That's a complete load of crap. It wouldn't be a university if it were to offer classes that were below the required standard.
