Jobs that dont require a degree (1 Viewer)

Ive been finding engineering at uni pretty hard and im starting to think maybe its not for me.

I have no idea what i want to be doing for the rest of my life, if i manage to finish my degree then i'll probably become a generic engineer or some sort, but as i said before im finding uni quite hard.

If i decide to quit uni, what are some good jobs that dont require a degree?

Im sure i can start off by working at woolies/coles/aldi (i know aldi offers $19.50 or so per hour just for stock replenisher), or a department store like DJ's/Myer (they wont offer any less than $20 per hour i reckon), but what else is there?

How about in the long run?

Heaps of jobs out there, but without a degree you don't really have much option to further your career. If you want to do the same job forever, idk.

Try TAFE or some shit.

uno ever since i started uni ive been thinking abit like that, like i should quit and just stick with a job which doesnt require a degree and just stick at it - but i think ill stick through uni and then decide wat type of direction i want to go career wise.

the cool thing with taking a gap year (which I wish I took, but I didn't) was that you can spend time working and thinking over that time what you aspire to do in the future.

When you make your decision to take on further education after that, you might have a clearer and more focused outlook.

Because that is very important.

If just hard, then harden up and hang in there.

If not interesting, then GTFO uni, maybe take a GAP year, Tafe, full-time work.

I agree. If its just "hard", then maybe you should just take a gap year or a semester off, and then go back to uni. But i reckon that you should just give it your best shot, because tbh, no degree is easy, even if you transfer to another field at uni, it'll still require heaps of work and shit. If you plan to spend your whole life without a uni degree, then goodluck with that, because you really wont be able to climb far up the career ladder, you'll be stuck at coles/woolies for quite a while.
