Well the kyoto protocol is a United Nations declaration or whatever. It is not only the West, it is all those who unite to lead the world. If we generalise it as the West then certain countries will look at the UN with renewed bias and it will not achieve it's means.

I'm not denying that. But I think we should be doing something about the cloud of shit, which is causing climate change and killing people due to air pollution RIGHT NOW, not in the future, at the same time as doing something about the greenhouse gas problem.

There's a list of which shows how many metric tons of greenhouse gases each country produces by fuel source. Now, the US is categorically the largest emitter of every measurable greenhouse gas. Now, of course, this list doesn't include the

HUGE CLOUD OF SHIT VISIBLE FROM SPACE


Anyway, that trend will change rather quickly, as the States has FAR more constraints on population growth. And hey, GUESS WHO DIDN'T SIGN KYOTO?

I think you'll find it's the second biggest polluter on that list.
