i think i've just realised a sad, but true fact. try as i may, and practice i keep, i can't seem get above friggin 8 marks for a 11-mark question.

the problem is my law exam is 6 Advanced English-style questions of 11 marks each... i keep friggin trying but i always miss out some minor 1-2 mark point that stops me from getting 10-11 marks for a question...

but i need 60 (out of 66) to get an HD for legal process and history... i need an HD soooooo badly ARGHHHHHH ~* >.<

*sigh*

law exams always make me cry :(

squishy, helppp....

...and of course law marking is an interesting process. Everyone you compete against on the curve is a clever fellow or fellowess.
may i suggest 'fellowette'? or would that be too close to 'fellatio'?
You may do everything right and answer the question well but that wont get you a D. To get D's often you have to be pretty good. the C curve is a VERY BIG CRUVE most people seem to fall into this curve.
*cry* stupid marking scheme crappy stuff.
Some of the people in first year who got D's for Foundations and Torts had a big cry this year cos they got a few Credits ...they then promtly started spreading rumours that the teacher could be gay
but the teacher IS gay!!!

it's so hard when they demand nothing but brilliance for an HD.

Yep that C group is a very big one...most mortal people like myself tend to get C's and sometimes nudge the D group. Im well aware that moonlight (i really wanna call him 'camptain moonlight') and God himself do get D's all the time
*sigh* so i should be happy if i keep myself in the D zone like Moonlight and Laz, right?

No-one will ever have my prized exam notes! You'll have to pry them from my cold dead hand!

I suppose that means as soon as I finish an exam

i am sure you won't begrudge prosterity of your infinite wisdom.

besides, why does one have to study for law? for I am a rational human being, and, as Lord Coke put it, "ratio est anima legis".

hehe

but Coke also told the king off for thinking that understanding the law would come naturally from reason, saying that it really required years of careful study of this "artificial reason" :p

I get scared that someday if there is some sort of anarchy-inducing event lawyers will be screwed.. we'll have no jobs or no use because our whole profession is a man-made, theoretical construct

you mean WWIII? oh well, we'll be back after some great superpower takes charge and persecutes so-called 'war criminals' (as if war itself isn't criminal) so we'll all have jobs again.

which brings me back to Austinian positivism and the Nurumberg trials. :)
