Hey, I am just wondering how strict the lecturers are about the law seminars because each subject has two - Seminar A and Seminar B which you have to do, but then there are variations of times to choose from,

eg:

Seminar A: Monday 9 - 11
Seminar B: Thursday 9 - 11

Seminar A: Monday 11 - 1
Seminar B: Thursday 2 - 3

And it looks like on the tutorial reg site that you have to choose them in the set they are displayed (like above). But I wanted to change one, has anyone done this before or knows if you can?

Also are seminars in the lecture theatres?

Sorry if ppl cant understand this :)

Unfortunately, you can't hope between sets, you stick with the set you're in. They are usually strict about these things, they keep a role and have to keep track of attendence patterns.

no they are not, because in each seminar there is about 60-70 people to allow for interaction with the lecturer and a free flow of ideas and more class interaction.:)

shh don't tell em that lol - its actually meant to be 52:p but they're flexible up to 65...

its only really more if people go to the wrong seminars..

you do have to pick a set of seminars, but depending on your seminar leader and whether attendance is marked they may not care too much..

however, generally, you have to go to your selected time and then, if you are ill or whatever and have to miss a class you can just go to another... if it a seminar in which attendance is taken - make sure if you go to a different class you let your seminar leader know and/or when you sign the attendance sheet write your name or whatever the seminar leader wants written and juts write something in brackets like - "Usually in lecture at x time on x day but was ill" or something like that..

don't stress too much over this kinda stuff coz you'll find out after a week or 2 all this kinda stuff - they tell you and give you info on it at enrolment and you'll get stuff in the mail about it plus there's info on the net on the website for new students
