So is anyone going to learn ahead for the Preliminary HSC?

We have two options:

A) Learn ahead in the holidays to gain some understanding of the Preliminary course
B) Bludge in the holidays because it will be the last holidays we get to have fun!!!
C) Revise Year 10 concepts (pointless)

Which option are you for?

I'm gonna do option A :D

Im going to have a bit of relaxing time but also learn ahead..
I was thinking to have until Christmas/NY off, but from then on do about 4-5 hours work each day
does that sound fair?

I will be taking most of the holidays off to relax and perhaps do some more reading.

I've also planned to start getting back into my working mindset very early next year, so Option A most likely.

I did a bit of learning ahead for prelim, and it did help. Just don't spend your holidays studying, though.

Year 10 concepts probably won't help much in prelim, though

How do you learn ahead, though?
Copy of the syllabus, textbooks, getting notes from here. I just went over the basic concepts though, I didn't go into too much detail when I was learning ahead.

Year 11 doesn't count for anything, so you can afford to relax. Year 12 is when everything starts to count, though.

Have a mad bludge until school starts up again.
These are the longest holiday's you will get for a long time so use them wisely.:D
Don't stress about getting ahead. You have next year for stress. :p
Enjoy it now.

but if you work ahead, you will find easier to understand concepts
no you will not... prelim is the basics, HSC is buliding up on those basics, it is easy to understand the stuff, working ahead is pointless, in the HSC maybe not now

My advice would be to:

Learn ahead if you really want to. It does help, and it will make things a bit easier in year 11. But don't spend all your time studying. Limit it to just a few hours a week. These are your last holidays before you start senior school, so make the most of them.

If you don't want to learn ahead, then don't. No point in making yourself study when you don't really have to.

Just relax geez dammit. Don't even bother learning concepts for Yr 11 relax. Also, who says all the holidays from now are going to be not 'fun'. Just because it's Year 11 and 12, doesn't you have to study every damn second of your holidays.
