My theory is: the standards packages say the exemplars and B6s are into 2nd booklets, so do that :p

yeh, the exam was weird in that regard...

but what was funny was- i told my friend just before the exam.. i bet that there isnt gonna be a section on human rights where we have to do short answers on it this time..
and not only that, i went further to say that i bet it will be on the whole law and justice thing focussing on the notions of justice!!!

shes like nah! they cant do that!! and i was right!!! :p

ooooo i have the gift of foresight!!! ;)

but twas very strange.. i must admit

Yeah I was thinking about looking into the differences of common and civil law systems (luckily my friend asked me ages ago about it and I remembered most what I'd told him), but I so didn't think it would come up because I don't give a shit about civil systems, being an Aussie and all. I'll probably only get 3.5/4 marks for it though.

Hmmm..sounds like it was a hard test. Well, not to worry.
Just remember, I contributed to your UAI. (even if it was adversely). :p

I was definitely expecting to give an example of a contemporary human rights issue, I was positive I would get full marks for that question, for those who read my blog, you would certainly know this, lol

My teacher reckoned maybe 80% of the state would fail/do badly in the short answer section...

... Which makes me glad I'm sitting NEXT year's paper. ^^

i did:
6 pages for crime
8 pages for consumer
8 pages for family

only reason i was pissed off wit the exam was because there wasn't a human rights question.....and i spent ages preparing for it.......but i used it in my family essay so i'll get over it

are you kidding? the whole multiple choice was basically on human rights... i found them so tough but i thought the crime was easy... rest was hard... my legal teacher apparently wasnt impressed

That's because it was a SHIT exam in general. the only questions I was fully and completely prepared for were the 2 focus studies, because they are usually simple and very easy to predict.

it was a damn tough test whatever anybody says - and the focus questions were very different from previous years so i woudn't say they were predictable.

My teacher's comment "Hardest legal studies test i've ever seen"
Other teacher from school "Hardest test of the HSC this year"

Heres what i think

Section1:

That was the hardest MCQ ever, comparing it to the 3 previous tests, this was the hardest, some answers were strongly linked and hard choices, from the looks of the MC answers thread, lots of people got different answers

Institutionalised inequality? done that before, but didnt expect 5 marks,

Inquisitorial and adversarial system was a bit of a shock

first time in 3 yrs they didnt include HR

Section 3

First time they had a an article, first three questions was alright but the 4 th 12 marker was absolute shit, reminds u could write countelss stuff but no time

Section 4

Ok, both were pretty good questions for once straight out of the syllabus

A of consumers and B of family were pretty good

Overall:
That was the hardest legal test, nothing like the trials 94% internal assessment just got dragged down.... shit test
