I'll start of:
There are some feminist values shared by Weldon and Austen. Although Elizabeth belongs to a lower class than Darcy and the marriage proposal is something that 'should' be taken up the fact that she has the choice not marry indicates independence of thought. In LTA Alice attends university and gets a book published.
