Is listening to music while studying a good thing? I usually get a bit into the music too much and get distracted from work so I'm not sure.

But anyone got any good recommendations for music? I listen to rock mostly.

try to stop listening to music if it distracts because there is not point in studying and listening to music if it distracts you. listen to music in your spare times or switch from rock to some kind of relaxation music or something.

I listen to music ALL the time.. it helps me concentrate a lot.. if i dont have music playing in the backgroud, then i can't concentrate, i even listen to my ipod in class, which is good, i find it relaxing, and it helps me finish my work, and tune out the conversations of other people in the class.. most of the time.. and i find, that i do my work better when i am not in class, like in my study periods throughout the days...

Sometimes though I listen to new music, so I don't know how they go, so I'm less likely to randomly sing the words in my head. Either way works~

If i don't study with music, I often start falling asleep especially when studying a very content based subject >_<
