I drank before, I drank through, I drank after.

And then proceeded to sob for about three hours. Not my proudest moment, indeed.

I passed out in the National Press Club at about 10. I like to think that it was the victory, but sun-stroke, 48hrs w/o sleep and liberal gin:tonic ratios played some minor part.

i don't understand why you Libs are so stroppy about Saturday's outcome. even if you do not support the change, don't you find it exciting to be living through such an impressive, exciting and interesting stage in Australian history? I think it's fabulous, and having our first female deputy PM shows massive progress.
It's so cool! I love this country so much *wipes tear*

Yeah we're so progressive, we think women are good enough to be deputies now.
Australia is amazing!
And the apology to the indigenous as well. Soon race relations will smooth quite out.
I love our massive social progress.

I support Labor because I hate this country and want to see Rudd fuck it up.
I support Labor because it's much less shit. Quit yapping about Howard, he was never a good Prime Minister. All his Ministers were shit, and so was he.

MoD - Buying shit Super Hornets, instead of Su-28's or just waiting for the JSFs (wasted money which could have been invested)
FM - Defended WMD claims, Supported Iraq war
Treasurer - Worchoices? Medicare? Need I go on? Interest rates.
PM - Fellating Bush
MoImmigration - Lol, don't even get me starting on this cunt. Haneef, much? Dissociation of the "MUZZLEMS"? Africans?
MoEWR - Loss of Awards, Minimum wages, Workchoices in general.

Honestly, quit fellating the failed Liberal party. They were shit, from top to bottom.

Just for the record I'm not attacking John Howard personally, as a person he was fine and he loved this country. But politically, he was the most shit.

The country made that statement on the 24th.

STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE, GUYS! obviously we're not going to become this amazing socialist nation with like, gay marriage and equal rights for women and women running everything and free love and legalised drugs and free condoms at high schools, etc...

it's SYMBOLIC though. it's just, you know, kind of nice to know that the majority of people in this country are now a little bit less conservative and that we (touch wood) will not be regressing to a 1950's-nuclear-family-stepford-wives-esque state.

SORRY FOR ACTUALLY LIKING AUSTRALIA NOW. :( i'll just go and hate it again. :( :( :(

Gay marriage, legal drugs and equal rights for everyone would be a good thing, that's the shit part, we get the more "left" (lol) option for once and none of that stuff will even happen anyway, just the rubbish like Kyoto and banning AWAs :D
