I know a couple who've been dating since they were 14 and now they're both 21 and still going strong...

Two years, 9 months.
I'm also a believer in finding "the one" at a young age.
When I was 14 I was bestfriends with this boy and telling everyone I was gonna date him and that he was the keeper.

My Aunt got married at 16.
She is now 48.
And still married and in love.

One of my teachers got married at 18.
Had been with the person since 15.
He is now 31. Still married and in love.

It's not common, but can happen.

No. Anything is not possible.
I don't have to know you or your boyfriend. Your relationship will fail. I am 100% sure of it.
It is not possible to find "the one" at 16.

That's another thing. 16 months isn't that long. You can't say someone is "the one" after 16 months, particularly when you are 16 or 17 or whatever.

You seriously think I should take relationship advice from a 17 year old? 17 year olds know nothing.
Stop squabbling. So many people marry their highschool sweetheart it ain't funny. So stop getting your negativity in a rut. If it ain't going to work, it isn't your problem.. and if it does - well good on them and their ability to keep it up and I wish them all the best if our dear really feels she's found her right man... anything IS possible and it's not your responsibility to judge on them :) They will learn, you will find out without squabbling over what hasn't happened.

I know many couples who have dated at 14 - now their kids are married! I hope for the best for them, that it will continue forever!

THE HSC
HSC does crazy things.. my man and I have been through many troubles this year too - partly because of the stress of HSC, but you can move on in your life soon :)

The relationship I'm currently in is my longest. About 2 years, 3 months. And have spent almost a week living apart so I have a new appreciation for the relationship.

Having said that nearly all my relationships are long term. When I was 15-16 I was with my boyfriend for over a year (which is good for that age, right?). Then my second boyfriend was for just over 2 years.

I need to be single. lol.
