hi sam
apparently, its supposd to be a page at maximum.
Has to have in it:
- Topic
- Sources
- Limitations
- Research Strategies
- And research that we've done so far

All straight out the syllabus kiddo.

Ah...gonna fail, im gonna fail.

hey guys!!!

I have started composing my proposal. HOwever, since I suck so bad, I was wondering if you guys could critique my first paragraph. I am aware we have to address these areas in the proposal:

The proposal should contain:
• description of preliminary research
• enquiry questions
• research intentions in relation to
– areas/texts to examine
– methodology.

HOWEVER, my first paragraph is going to address what inspired me to choose this topic (im going to study the legacy of Arafat - was he a terrorist or freedomfighter/peace maker)

you can be mean. just reply in this thread. im not fussed. constructive criticism is fine with me. My teacher reckons it can be between 1.5 and 2 pages. as long as its intelligent... any length, just intellingent

okay heres the first paragraph:

"My choice to conduct a historical investigation in relation to Yasser Arafat may be attributed to my Lebanese background and lack of historical knowledge regarding the Palestinian cause. The hesitation of numerous people around me to explain areas of middle-eastern history, due to this task being “too complicated”, has made me adamant to acquire a thorough knowledge in regards to the Arab-Israeli conflict. In that, although the Arab-Israeli conflict has been ongoing for over hundreds of years, a historical investigation concerning Yasser Arafat has primarily piqued my interest due to the rather contemporary (or recent?) nature of his role in the Palestinian cause."

i didnt wanna start a new thread, so im posting in this one i guess

Yay i just got 5/5 for mine... we got told that it should show your train of thought as to how you reached your final question. we also to get 5 had to have a varied methodology..so not just the internet lol...we had to explain how we would organise the data as well. Also put in lots of prelim research. Any book you have evr read on the topic, put it in good luck
