Hey kids,
sorry if there's a thread about this...simply link me if there is. apologies in advance.

Basicly, I cut my own hair, it's layered, short (just over an inch) on the top and back, yet a fringe

that probably makes it easier.

anywho. does anyone know some good product to keep my hair looking...full, whilst keeping its shape (as if i use moulding clay/fudge it looks good at the time, but then loses its shape)

any suggestions?

Hair mousse and strong hold hairspray???
I use the strongest tre-semme on the market...yet it ends up just making my hair 'piecey' after a while.
idk. i was looking for something that would just give an awesome 'matte' effect?
as opposed to a 'shiny, emo' look.

Have you heard of

Gatsby: Moving Rubber

It's a really good wax. I don't use it but all my Asian mates use it and they look really natural.

Here is a video:

thanks for that dude, I haven't heard of it before.
I've pretty much only used Fudge, Garnier, V05, and tresemme.

that video wasn't exactly what I was looking for (still, i liked his hair, so I may give that a shot).

that is more what I am looking for, the back of her hair. that 'dry' but messy kinda look.
and yes. for all the smartasses. i realise that it is a girl I am posting *rolls eyes*

That's a nice hair. Do you know her personally? Why don't you get some tips from her then.

I reckon using wax is the best way to go as some wax leave your hair firm and appear dry at the same time - but those wax tend to be rather expensive and professional type where you can only get from hair salon. If you want to get those types, better visit salon and get ones. Otherwise, the wax that I recommended is really good too despite being too asian...

mate! I wish i knew her! I'd be on her in an instant...
she's just a google search.

I'll hop down to chadstone after exams and pick up some wax and start to experiment with it.
gotta make the hair look good at schoolies, after all :)

you can chose from

kevin murphy - gritty business
american crew - fiber
muk - hard muk

finish with schwarzkopf black silhouette hairspray, its soooo cheap and sooooo good. that should give hold while maintaining matte finish.
