Master of Teaching - Second stream Maths (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Just a little background. I'm a year away from finishing a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). I'm looking at following this up with a Master of Teaching (Secondary).
I'd like to teach Mathematics as a second stream / minor teaching area.
My question is does anyone know if by studying these subjects by distance education will I be qualified to teach math?
MAS130 Calculus and Matrix Algebra – Murdoch University
MTH129 Discrete Mathematics – CSU
MTH203 Numerical methods – CSU
MTH219 Linear algebra – CSU
According to the NSW Institute of Teachers the requirements are:
"2-year sequence (4 units) in mathematics, with at least 2 units at level 2 or above. Studies must include algebra and calculus. 1 unit only of statistics may be counted provided it was studied as a stand-alone unit. No more than 1 unit of study taught outside a department or school of mathematics (for example, in engineering, science or business subjects) can be counted."

I would like to point out that a combination across KLA's and faculties is very hard to maintain. Commerce is in the HSIE KLA and so usually Commerce teachers also do Economics, Business Studies and add in some junior History/Geography depending on the size of the school and the faculty. Maths teachers tend to be specialist Maths teachers or have Science as their second subject. At my school for instance you would either be in the Maths faculty and teach only Maths or in the HSIE faculty and teach no Maths.

You may be lucky to find a school that can accomodate a Commerce/Maths combination but don't be surprised if you don't.
