actually Trebla is right, the alignment is completely linear. You can see how the datapoints for 2023 completely match the extrapolated line. the cusps are where different bands start

ok then well this turns into a simple problem then

if we assume the bands are linear, and the e4 cutoff is 60 raw for a hard year and 75 raw for an easy year, we can predict the possible trend by drawing lines to 100
if @killer queen is aiming for min 97 aligned, draw a line and extrapolate the raw, which comes out to be 86 raw for a really difficult year, and 92 raw for a really easy year, and if its in the middle of easy and hard, 89 raw

i think def a lot of people r saying this years paper will be cooked coz last year was fairly chill.
Agreed, especially looking at what they did to adv (from the perspective of a relatively good maths accelerated students), I am quite scared for monday :v

i still havent touched this subject since mx2
the hsc mx1 papers dont even look bad
genuinely thinking about revising this day before the exam and focusing on chem instead

chemistry calculation questions are so hard ☹. if only our teacher didnt waste time talking about american politics and useless bs. fucking hate my chem teachers. like tds, and can't teach for shit? Yeah most of mx1 is lowkey not too bad. 14 gets challenging though in many papers, some of 13 can also be a bit weird

wait im confused are exam writers the same as 2024 for this year? like did 2023 and 2022 have the same writers which is why they are more the difficult ones? like 2020 and 2021 gave similar vibes if that makes sense
