Probably some insider working at these tutoring centers ngl. I actually agree with NESA this time, ban these mofo tutoring centers.I mean from the pure fact that the Sydney lads got a head start compared to regionals like us because some Sydney tutoring center somehow got questions pretty damn similar to q16 this year, is all I need to have a damn problem with NESA
99 at least definitely.ok so 70 raw -> 90 aligned -> 98 atar right
Simple, huhdont get cooked
i think its pretty natural for ppl to think the test they did was harder especially cuz of exam stress and stuffwhy is it so conflicting some people are convinced this was 2024 difficulty some people think it’s the hardest ever
Yeah to be fair q11-12 are not too awful. I think the main reason why it is hard is because the questions are just kinda in a weird way. Q12 induction is a calculus which threw me off, and q13a legit had me wondering for a while before abandoning it.i think its pretty natural for ppl to think the test they did was harder especially cuz of exam stress and stuff
(but hmm i dont think it was tooo hard im just annoyed i didnt get some easy stuff)
I didn't even know that was in the syllabus cause in all of HSC's history they've never asked a derivative induction question so I just didn't bother lolYeah to be fair q11-12 are not too awful. MiF has like one section on it so technically it is there, and I was aware that NESA could pull a calculus induction if they wanna. But I am just awfully bad at calc inductions so.....I didn't even know that was in the syllabus cause in all of HSC's history they've never asked a derivative induction question so I just didn't bother lol
See this is what I was wondering about. I'm the only person who does MX2 at my school so I do it distance (and I'm also the only person on my online classes as well), so whatever mark I get can't be aligned or moderated? It's just the raw mark and whatever it scales to then?ok so 70 raw -> 90 aligned -> 98 atar right
yep ur internals wouldnt even matter (if u even had internals)See this is what I was wondering about. 4u is more worth it than advanced. advanced takes so much time too lol plus only 3 unitsDo you guys think it’s worth doing Maths Extension 2 or should I just stick with Extension 1 and Advanced because of how much study time it takes
wait but if I’m studying Maths Extension 1, I’m already studying Advanced since Extension 1 builds on it.4u is more worth it than advanced. advanced takes so much time too lol plus only 3 units
this is the problem with NESA. Why are they reusing past paper questions rather than designing their own? I thought they said professionals from universities are part of the exam design committeebruh i did the 2024 Bos but my lazy ass didnt read the solutions for the 16a question properly cause i didnt think it would come up
even if u get a state rank in math advanced, a 50/100 raw in the 4u exam is along with an E4 in extension 1 is always going to be better than a state rank in advanced + E4 in extension 1. This is because math is the highest scaling subject. It will be very hard to match the scaled mark of a 50/100 raw in extension 2 in the sciences or humanities. Hence you should make 4/10 units of maths count rather than just a mere 3/10wait but if I’m studying Maths Extension 1, I’m already studying Advanced since Extension 1 builds on it.
