Any opinions? I read something about more 'industry connections' at UTS before the threads went down.

Is there anyone who's done either of these courses? If so, I'm interested to know why you chose it.

The cutoffs for 2010 were 84.5 at UNSW and 93.4 at UTS. I can get into either.

Any help would be appreciated :)

One of my friends is studying media production at UTS.He said media of UTS is the best among Australia, particularly the postgraduate.Undergraduate is also great. You can see from the cutoffs as well, there is huge difference betweent these two.

Have to agree. It's quite specialized in media production. The facilities are state of the art. (Plus they've been renovating so everything is as good as new)

I've only got a very general knowledge of it, but my friend's brother does (or did) one of the media courses at UTS and loved it. From what he's told me, UTS is the best university for giving lots of practical experience, and at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter where you did your degree, but what extra work experience you've done, so for that, UTS is superior.
Also yeah from what I have heard, it's really specialised, unlike usyd and unsw. So you're really acquiring the skills for employment. I'd go UTS over unsw if you plan on getting a career in that industry.
