Re: wat textbook is good for modern history?

Can anyone recommend me a textbook for the cold war?
I've got the HTA and key features, but i feel theyre both a little err, skimpy on some parts.

Ann Mccallum's Evidence of War

I'm looking at Ann Mccallum's 'Evidence of War' and there's 2 editions (edit: Editions 2 and 3 I'm referring to), logically, the third edition would be better to use, but I'm having trouble comparing the content of each.
Anyone have any idea?
Also - Are there any textbooks or good online resources for South Africa? preferably textbooks based around the syllabus.

written for the hsc under syllabus dot points, sample essays, how to write a brill essay...
simply amazing, single best thing you will invest in all year it will save you hours
Which book is it? And the topic books seems quite overpriced, $40 for a book with just one topic in it.
