it doesn't at all! i just hate it when crappy american music infiltrates the indie music scene that is primarily british. i do like lots of american bands that are good, but the emo shit annoys me to no end, especially when i cannot escape it because the magazines i read have decided to cover that style of music.

I can't stand The Fray, especially How To Save A Life. He just sounds like he's in pain for most of it and it isn't even that great.

I don't like Evermore for all the same reasons. A lot of their songs sound like they're being sung off-key.

Music that is blatantly politically-motivated also sucks. The exception to the rule is Rage Against the Machine since they always did it and they were actually good at it. Bands like The Herd just use political lyrics as a platform. Where Is The Love? is great example (I also hate the Black Eyed Peas).

What i think sucks:
Stoner rock/metal. Man this is absolute shit. Slow with retarded lyrics that appeal to idiots. I hated how corrosion of conformity were once good then turned into this.
This can be extended to shit like wolfmother, and also in the grunge direction.
I hate Nirvana. Cobain's suicide was not a waste of talent, his existence was a waste of a larynx.
Any band with more than two members that have long hair except Slayer.
