Hi can someone help me breakdown this question. It is from my assessment task.

"Assess the ancient and modern interpretations of Xerxes' legacy" (850 - 900 words)

Ok from what I gather is it saying to make a judgement on the validity and reliability of ancient and modern interpretations of Xerxes' legacy.

Also can i assume that interpretations refers to sources?

Lastly can anyone add any points to Xerxes' legacy, so far i got:
- the building program of Persepolis
- Xerxes' involvement in the Greek invasion (not sure)
- continuation of tradition in relation to religion, satrap system
