ok so a new video showing the 911 attacks has been released
here it is: http://rapidshare.de/files/4337742/911.wtc.2.avi.html
whats interesting is how the feeling of fear has been exploited by some.
one guy has decided to make a 911 game: http://www.selectparks.net/archive/...creenshots.html
where as others have made flash games showing their political point of view on terrorism
such as where you are encouraged to blow people up: http://www.wellbored.com/free_flash...cide_bomber.htm
and another game showing how the creator beleives that war only spreads terrorism: http://www.newsgaming.com/games/index12.htm
i always hear people talking about how the world has changed since 9/11, how the world has lost its innocence, how terrorism is such a great threat these days and how people are disgusted by attempts of others to make documentries, films, games and write books about 9/11. Its as if this event has become a religion unto itself. it is no longer ok to speak out about our opinions. Any attempt at discussion is met with a silence, similar to what one would expect if straight after a funeral someone asked if they can have the deceased's car.. All of thee attitudes and emotions make it seem that the world was once such a great place where peopel lived in harmony. Bombings have been going on for years. Look at the Oklahoma bombing for instance. Terrorism as been occuring for ages in Israel/Palestine and people have always exploited big events.
My question is, why is 9/11 seen as the catalyst for terrorism, or perhaps the start of a dark age for the world when it is clear that large scale acts of war have occured for years. Why is it treated as one of the biggest events of the century as if it changed the world so much, when all it did was wake the media up into presenting stuff on terrorism.
discuss the current issues surround 9/11, how it is perceived and how it has impacted on the world
