As the title says, choose your Australia-specific news medium/s of choice.

Please note that by Australia specific I'm referring to institutions and media organisations within Australia, not just Australian content. If you would like to refer to foreign and/or global institutions and organisations, just select the relevant poll option and discuss your choices within the thread. The same goes for any medium within Australia that I may have missed.

to be merged

For me it's primarily the ABC (radio, mostly) and the broadsheets (online and paper for the Aus and the SMH, and online for the Age).

SMH definitely..
The Daily Telegraphy is quite bias, and they often print stories that are unimportant and just plain useless.. well that is just my opinion. Apprently once they had a front title page featuring a 12 yr old castlehill boy in possession of porn.. i mean comon, surely there are more important issues than this in this world.. this big BIG world of ours..

SMH online for the local stuff, I mainly use Government sources or groups well endowed in the international arena such as PNAC for international news, as well as The Economist.

Tabloid:
- Telegraph
- Mercury
(That being said, I tend to only read the Opinion/Letters/Satirical Cartoon in these).

Broadsheet:
- SMH
- The Australian

FTA Television:
- SBS World News (not really Australia-centric, but by far my favourite source of news)
- ABC News
- Nine News
- WIN News (for all my local happenings)

Cable:
- BBC World News (not Australia-centric, however)
- Sky News (mainly for Finance)

Online:
- http://www.slashdot.org (Not really news as one would put it, but I check this many times daily since it's news for me)

Other (World):
- Nippon Housou Kaisha (NHK) News 7 (Definately not Australia-centric).

I get the Daily Telegraph delivered, unfortunately. But I read it mostly for the satirical cartoon, the sudoku, and the letters page. There’s this one woman named Judith Bond…I think that’s her name…and she writes in every second week it seems! Always gold too “Harry Potter encourages evil” “Halloween is evil and teaches children to become witches…if your child dresses like a witch on Halloween they will go to hell”

Great lady.

I watch ABC news too...slightly less crap and tabloidy than normal news...and don't get me started on A Current Affair! How many commercials for Ipods/detergent/shampoo/lipstick are they allowed to run and still pretend to be a current affairs program...it's gotten so bad I just start to go "okay ads are on" when a current affair comes on.
