honestly... forget bt reading newspaper... did that most of the yr... but realised it didnt help much... bus section of most newspaper are just that... 'bus studies related'... u'd do alot better 2 subscribe with leadingedge economics update... latest statistics n all...

however... u should prolly read ross gittins articles smh wkend additions
but if u really want to... then get financial review... its a lil expensive tho... 2.50

is it the Sun Herald? or the Sydney Morning Herald?

(or are they the same thing)

to be honest... its a waste of time... subscribe to the leadingedge economic updates... n go to the leadingedge workshops.. like all of 'em... cant stress how gud they are... lol...

not that useful, are they? ah well. My teacher gives us any useful/relevant articles that Ross Gittins publishes. :)

i think it is always good to read the papers whenever the is a significant announcement related to economics e.g. change in interest rates, around the time of the budget, economic/unemployment/inflation/CAD figures announced etc etc etc.

as rukawasan said, you can get everything you will ever need from the leading edge newsletters, its your choice.......i did both, and personally found the leading edge stuff invaluable, but the papers were a nice supplement :)

AGB's rite... wen theres somethin significant happening... eg wen the RBA decided 2 tighten monetary policy coupla days b4 hsc... u really gota read up on it... like newspapres... net... wotever... cos leadingedge update... well... lol... havent updated it in time for the hsc...

so basically, in order to go well in the HSC

u gotta know what is happening in that designated year?

like u gotta incorparate updated stats into ur essay and stuff?

if u simply regurgitate the theory... ull get urself a band 5... if u apply ur theory... ull get a band 6... however if u simply regurgitate the stats its also useless like a frnd of mine did... wot u do is u regurgitate teh theory... eg... why RBA would want to tighten monetary policy... then u point out an example... n evaluate it against the theory... eg... in this specific example which aspects adhered to the theory... which aspects didnt... n possibly why...
