A win is still a win...but the way dragqueens won tonight- id doubt u can beat the awesome form that West Tigers are in atm. Plus, it "was" Sharks they were playing against and seriously, for Dragons to play such a close game and have such a narrow margin is saying something....theyre going shit and i love it :D.

LOL @ Mel!!

Are you saying you don't understand how the Finals work? HEHEHE.

Yes, Sharks are finished.

Tonight's games mean this:

Dragons through to Week 3. Broncos and Storm through to Week 2. Cowboys relying on Parramatta to win to move to Week 2, while Tigers are at least to Week 2 and relying on Manly to win in order to move to Week 3.

Provided Parramatta win, Week 2 will look like this:

Saturday night: Storm (6) vs (5) Cowboys --- winner to play Parramatta
Sunday afternoon: Tigers (4) vs (3) Broncos --- winner to play St George Illawarra

Week 3:

Saturday night: Dragons (2) vs Winner of Sunday game
Sunday afternoon: Eels (1) vs Winner of Saturday game.

Of course, a Manly win shakes it up.

Oh well.

I dunno about you, Kim, but I'd take 8 wins in a row (a record for the Joint Venture) any day of the week.

Umm... NO! Ok, well, yes I am saying that  but it's really not my fault. I've only ever had to worry about whether the Roosters were still in the finals or not, and I really didn't care what happened to the other teams. But now that we're not there, I'm actually interested in what happens to everyone. Is that a valid enough reason? Don't you laugh at me!

Oooh wouldn't Dragons vs Wests be a good game in Week 3??

for most of the game i though bookies retro jersys was going to work. its a real shame they couldnt hold their lead...i would of prefered it that way.:D

you got to hand it to the sharks for giving the dragons a scare for most of the match. everyone expected a easy win for the dragons.

i hope eels have an easier time against manly.

Yeh definitely, because with Dragqueens form, everyone expected them to thrash Sharks easy. Well, hopefully Eels dnt do the same as Dragqueens and get a much easier win over Manly tommorow. Hopefully Ben Kennedy doesnt serve as a problem and all.

And lol, wheres Bookie. I wanna give him a hug/ i understand the feeling of having a shit team and then losing a player or two to retirement or something. Theres always 2006. :(

Ok, I found out the reason we lost. The retro jerseys were dirtied. They have to remain clean and dry. Oh well. The Peach. The Stevo. Gone.

There was one try in it, and Naiqamas last try was off a line ball, and Barretts try in the middle was a few line balls as well, but I'm not gonna blame the ref.

I'd rather lose by six points than be merged

Yes. Of course they would.....

Player comments;
-Peach looked like he wanted to play the game, but only in the last few minutes, and what an effect he had. We'll miss ya
-Simmo was a fuckjob, but not as much as normal. He made some good defensive options, but a few attacking moves were wrong...
-Covell same with Simmo, but let in more tries.
-Mellor played alright
-Scotty, hope hes a deadset starter next year. 10/10 tonight.
-Vagana played well at 5-8th
-Noddy, back to form two months overdue
-Gallen. Big metres again, lots of tackles.
-Nutley, the same as ^^^
-Kinga and the other forwards - good effort.
-Dykesy, back from somehwere. Loved that under the legs stuff.

A few weeks too late. Unlucky boys.

Miss ya Stevo, Peach.

I feel like crying/punching Barrett 100 times in the face. That was tough to watch, we deserved to win for 80% of that game, but we didnt.

I dont get why everyone is saying that it is the Dragons fault they were shit, I think Cronulla was good and they shook em' up from the start and they dominated the middle (which was terrible for letting them in out wide). So, Cronulla werent bad, infact, they were bloody good for most of it. But yes, I realise the Dragons arre a much better team, and that everyone was predicting a thrashing, and my prediction was right. The score was within 12 points, 6 to be exact... Never underestimate the power of a local derby!

God i'll miss the Peach...i feel so sad that this was his last game. He didnt get involved enough.

I'll miss Stevo too, but he was only really getting back to the Stevo of old in his last 4 or 5 games (and some of the early games in the season). I think he shouldnt retire, which is funny cos lat year I thought he should.

And lastly, i'll miss Sully. I hope he fixes his gambling problem and comes back from England in a few years. He was dynamite off the bench, but lost some form after his Hamstring injury.

ooh, and I wont miss Galloway. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! enjoy the Tigers! stupid Galloway! He is the Drop-a-tor! he drops the ball sooo much, and to quote bookie and DRAGONZ; he is a "cat"......now i just hope he plays shit there :)

Ohwell, GO THE TIGERS! and Sharkies for 2006!.....and despite his shitty game tonight, i still want greenshields :D

Vagana is a god. Best game of the year for him. Barrett is such a sook, havent seen a bigger dive backwards ever. All we needed was for him to start punching Vagana fom the back while Beau Scott scored a runaway try. I suppose Gallen did off that play.

I havent got the stats yet, but Gallen seemed to play his every week game. If you follow the stats buddy, you'd know Gallen is miles ahead of the second placed metre eater.

Fucking Galloway. Thank god he's leaving. But it seems Janet Ryles broke a fingernail first.

i agree, the dragons were good but the sharks were better on the night, if only they could of held the lead they would of won. but as i said before you have to hand it to the sharks for playing so good agaisnt the premiership favorites.

Ive always been a fan of Gallen, if you look at his stats he's one of the very few who can average 40+ tackles/hitups per game week in week out.

Oh yeah the Vagana push was funny haha, stupid Barret and his dive. I just laughed when he lied there hoping to milk the penalty.

Yeah, I forgot about that Barrett push: HILLARIOUS! I wish i had taped that, Vagana is a champ and always gets away with shit. I dont think he really deserved to get penalised because Barrett clearly dived, and whilst he didnt get penalised Phil Ghould was dying for a penalty... Fuck I hate Ghould.... But Barrett was being a fucken tool, dont turn League in to soccer you stupid pussy. I usually have respect for Barrett because he is a good player, but his stupid actions of late hass made him lose some respect I had for him. That being said, he was probably the Dragons best, along with Young and Ennis...

anyone know who was man of the match???

And Gallen is a great player, but I dont think he'll ever play Origin cos of the polotics involved in Rep. Sides. But he has a great work rate, and he and Nutley really do help the side to no end. Keep it up for next season guys, cos the preimiership is goin to Cronulla! Cos we have the man who specialises in winning GF's, Darren Albert :D (just hope he's still good)

Haha either you are only talking about the ten minute period between 48 and 58 minutes, or you were watching our Premier League and Jersey Flegg boys.

In fact, the Dragons combined total for "Super Saturday" was 3 games for 3 wins, with a total score of 124 - 38. The Flegg boys and First Graders are through to the Preliminary Final, while PL will play next week. Strictly, Flegg should be playing on the Sunday because they are the highest ranked winner (they finished first by about 6 competition points). However, with an imminent Parramatta win ahead, the Dragons will be playing on Saturday night, so perhaps they will schedule our Flegg boys on the Saturday afternoon too. It would be fricken awesome if PL can win next week, and all three grades play on Saturday.

DRAGONZ, it looks like the JF final will be Sharkies vs. Dragons. The Sharks just won Yesterday against the West Magpies and because they finished the season 2nd (to st george) they go straight to the preliminary final. So, it seems like it could be Sharks against Dragons Jersey Fleg final.... maybe we can get a little back :)

And i think i forgot to say it before, but Congrats to all Dragons fans, I dont feel you guys deserved it, but you won like you were supposed to ;)
