Terra is THE best online game in my eyes.... http://www.terracorps.com its a massively multiplayer game-one of the ones with a continueing world roughly the size of the earth.... love it

Its sorta like chess...but not lol. Its like a cross between dungeons and dragons...sorta...gah! ><. Its too hard to explain! But eh, its hell addictive

The best game imo would be qwtf (quakeworld teamfortress) yes yes i know its a tad old but the community is running along pretty strongly with kickass new graphics (on par with atleast quake3).

I suggest you check out www.fuhquake.net and qwtf.ausfortress.com if you feel like a hell fun, fast passed rush
Due to me being in yr12 this year, i've kind of left it dead but there's still heaps of people that play regularily, it's a bit surprising

yeapp! definitely give those free MMORPGs a go!! u might find urself hooked up. Granado Espada, Pangya, Gunbound, ROSE are few of em that r quite popular. Played puzzle pirate before, but..it was..kinda boring ><. pointless.. like u just board on a ship, play d minigames..n then get some booties after the trip.
