Personally, I just bought lots and lots of exercise books and kept handouts in piles on my floor according to subject after they had kicked around in a pile in the bottom of my school bag for a week or so. I've got probably 40 full A4 exercise books now and a few tons of sheets. But that's just my organisation and to the untrained eye it looked pretty chaotic.
