As of this year, entry permits for students will no longer be issued. That's right, we have to pay for every hour we park at the uni.

0-4 hours $2
4-6 hours $4
> 6 hours $6

50% off for western carpark.

I will have couple of 830 starts next session and last year I caught the trains all the time, can someone please tell me where I can park around the uni? thanks :)

hmm..... that's bad. about $200 a session if coming everyday.

Good thing I have a staff permit.

If you want to park around uni, the other side of botanic gardens will definately be free around 0830. If you come here a bit ealier, just outside uni should be free too.

If you can't find a place along Northfields where all the angle parking then use the Western Carkpark. It's only $3 and then you don't have to walk the extra 2km.

It's just really far away from all the main buildings so staff don't park there.

The western carpark isn't too bad if you are going to 21, 22, 23, 25 30, 38, 40 or 67.

That's pretty crap. Ah well, I'll just continue to park near the Botanics.

There is plenty of parking south of the uni if you're prepared to go for a bit of a walk.

Are some of the parkings around the uni have 2 hours limit on it? If so, how often does the council staff check the cars?

A lot. Especially at the start of the year. Streets with 2 hour parking are Paulsorove, Robsons Rd and I think Madoline St plus the gardens car park. The other roads on the east side of the gardens might have a limit but I'm not too sure, I've never parked there.

The road just east of the gardens has a 2 hour limit, but the road just east of that does not.

Never park for longer than what the sign says, it's pretty common to walk past a row of cars all with parking fines under the wiper blade.
