Quit complaining we have fairly low petrol prices compared to other countries, and u could always catch public transport or walk
The majority of my driving is to and from uni, and I worked it out and realised if I drive to the train station and get the train and bus to uni it will cost me $8 and take an hour and a half. If I don't drive to the station and instead take 2 buses and 1 train it will cost $10 and take more than 2 hours. If I drive it will cost me $10 worth of fuel and 35 minutes. Even with petrol prices as high as they are it's still cheaper and a lot quicker and a lot more convinient to drive.
Where I live it's a 50 minute walk to the nearest shops and train station so thats not really an option.
