I do care about these dogs and i also care about the dogs owners.. But this definetely is related to government abuse of powers and over policing our private lives.

When your private life jumps the back fence and attacks people it needs to be policed.

i dont differentiate betweeen liberal and labour......or state/federal....

they all do the same shit......

steal money from us........so they can sit around making laws ----- to take away our freeedom and better control us.

I don't really see how it could be called inhumane. Inhumane would be rounding them all up and burying them alive. They're just preventing population growth, so the breed will be eventually phased out.
I believe in America there is already a law preventing a person from owning an unneutered pit bull without a license?

i have very mixed feelings on this issue. my ex/boyfriends dog was a pit bull, and it is by far the least aggressive dog i have ever ever met (this includes my own chihuaha and maltese-shihtzu cross). all it ever wants to do is cuddle everyone. BUT this is all in its raising, and im inclined to believe the kind of people who are drawn to pit bulls as a pet, most of the time, certainly wouldn't be raising them to be cuddly cute huggy kinda dogs - but YES, vicious animals, to protect their homes or whatever.

in my own street a couple of years ago, a three year old girl was dragged by the hair around her own front yard by the family's own pit bull, and ended up in hospital. they can be pretty unpredictable - im pretty sure they were bred for military use, so maybe they should never have been allowed as pets to begin with. i dunno.

even if you do consider a dog to be gentle, it will attack and defend itself if by whatever means you intentionally or accidently provoke the pit bull- whether you accidently pat him and he has a sore leg, playing with the dog or trespassing on property...

i mean i have a german shephard and hes well behaved, but is i pat him on his ear he will jump and bark at me cause he has an ear infection- he doesnt fucking like it

also if people in my family are arguiing he will become anxious with people yelling at one another- dogs can sense things and will act. you just dont know how the dog has been brought up in whatever conditions and how to certain events it will react

a lot of kids, adults and elderly people have been seriously mawled and/or killed by pit bulls.
THey could consider however, making it illegal to have one in public that isn;t muzzled.

it is illegal
and you have to be over 18 to own one
and have it in a child proof enclosure
and put signs all over your property saying you have one

i think pit bulls are ok as long as they are trained to be nice
if they are trained to kill then they will do that
and that is the owners fault not the dogs
