Ahh, the old school certificate...

Last year I got:
Maths: 88
English: 85
Science: 94 (Quite wierd considering I did no work all year and I don't do any science this year)
History: 74 (All of the essays were political comments and attacks that had pretty much nothing to do with the question - I got bored during these exams and needed to amuse myself)
Geography: 80 (See History)

Wasn't a bad lot of results, and I copped a free pizza for a Band 6 in Science, so I was happy.

Anyway, I've got to stop posting and get back to writing this AOS English essay - fucking holidays.

Well done kids in the SC this year, that's the last of the easy stuff.

They're from A to E (or D?) on a scale of 1 to 10 e.g A person receiving an A can receive anything from A1 (the highest possible grade) to an A10 (a low-A,but nevertheless still fantastic).
Or at least this is what I have gathered..plz correct me if I'm wrong

A10, then A9, B8, B7 etc going down... its to be able to mark us more fairly...

just thought i should tell you before you start worrying others... lol

Ruse? Peh, when you decline offers many a times to that place, does it make you a Ruse student? If not, who cares; if so, who cares. People obsess too much about that school. Every school has its ups and downs.

Congrats on your (sufficiently pleasing?) results, shakky15, vulgarfraction (though, what happened in English and Hist? I mean, c'mon, you're a Ruse student, so you should be getting 100, obviously), nicko1990, fairyvi.

Aw, crap. I didn't do great at all; only just better than most of the people at my school.

@hopeles5ly: vulgarfraction could have posted it out of sheer boredom, with absolutely no motive whatsoever. Who knows...

Eh, I managed 2 5's and 3 6's. Not bad, considering I finisghed each test with half the allotted time remaining.

I was suprised with my results...

okay me who doesn't do that great in school....
i got

88 for science
84 for maths
82 for english
87 for Geography
85 for history
91 for computer skills....

the techers i had even gave me good marks

i got a B for PE!? weird!
and i only got one c - for commerce....
other than that i got all b's....

the actual tests aren't that hard so don't stress and you can't fail if you're there for the exam, even if you do get the dreaded band 1.

What I used to hate about being in yr 10, was when you complained about all your work, some yr 11 or 12 would be like SHUT UP yr11/12 is harder...
now i'm here i know thats true but its no reason to be mean to yr 10's coz its hard in yr 10 to cope with the workload sometimes.
1 thing though,
you think its hard now, its gonna get worse. and the teachers have NO sympathy. They're all like "get used to it!" grrrrrrr! its so annoying.
Enjoy yr 10 while you can! honestly, it gets ALOT worse.
I'm 15 and in yr 11, i feel like i should have stayed back a year so I could enjoy early teen years for longer but instead in less than 1.5 years i finish school... scary.
Also, if you don't enjpoy school and don't want to try. DON'T go on to yr 11. Half of my year have been expelled because "they haven't made a serious attempt at the HSC" this is only term 2 yr for gods sake!!!
