THe backstabbing I think, came more from the media than the party. I think qoutes were taken out of context and things were plainly made up. Bad journalism.
In many of SMH reports before Latham's resignation it always contained: "A senior ALP member who wishes to remain anonymous said...............". It was similiar on Seven news when they say "Party members who did not wish to be identified commented..........................."
I think the media did the backstabbing.

Oddly, but I really haven't seen much of Gilliard or Macklin in the media for some odd reason. And I knew them as the orange haired and blonde haired ladies of ALP's frontbench. So in the eye of the public, i don't think they have enough publicity as Kim Beazley.

I'll put my name down. I think the Werriwa by-election is in the bag. I'll have a couple of years in parliament and then go for the top job. I'll have to defer uni for awhile, but I think it's best for Australia that I do this. :p

So far, I've asked 30 people and 29 said that they're going to vote for me and the other wanted to hear my policies. I wasn't prepared to reveal my policies to teh voting public until after I got elected as the member for Werriwa.

As am I. I truly believe that we need a strong, Independent candidate in the Parliament who is willing to speak his mind on the issues - and I believe that strong candidate should be me.

So you guys are serious about standing for election or just paying out politics.

Because the stuff you said are cliched and yeh...... politician's talk......
Reminds me of a cliched joke
"How do you know when a politicians lying? When he's mouth is moving"

I am VERY serious about becoming a politician in the next 10 or so years. I know it's next to impossible to be an Asian and be in Parliament - but I'm gonna do my damned hardest to get the support of my electorate to be elected.

Like even though i talk about cliched and and politicians lying...

I actually want to be one myself and I'm asian as well.

My goal I wrote is to be the first non-anglosaxon prime minister and show the true meaning of Australia as a multicultural country.
So i'm going to do a Combined Law degree then move into Politics.

So yeh Phanatical might see u in Canberra.

I would stand for the Greens/Labor, what you going to stand for?
