Okay guys, predict your marks for each section based on how you feel you went :)

Section 1: Xerxes
22ish, my sources were a bit thin in part C.

Section 2 : OKE
25, it was my best section; I had done an assignment on The pyramid texts and Funery architecture last term.

Section 3: Greece 500-440
21, i had good information, but my mark was probally let down by a lack of sources.

Section 4 : Fall of Roman Republic
24, Filled this up with sources and facts

So all up about 92 which is what i was aiming for. Of course how they actually mark it is an entirely different matter!

I'd probably take about 3-6 marks for the first section, 3-6 marks for the second section, and 6 marks for the two final sections combineded meaning I should get about 84-90 :) (crosses fingers)

I did the New Kingdom Egypt hatshepsut, ramesside period and minoans

Section 1 - Hatshepsut wasnt bad i though but neither great - 20 - 21
Section 2 - Ramesside period Felt like a walk over -20 - 22
Section 3 - NK Egypt to death of Thutmosis 4, bit annoying 18 - 21
Section 4 - Anceint societies Minoan, very annoying 15 - 19
(very unsure how this on ewill be treated)
* Could be higher could be lower just guesses

So RAW mark hopeing for over 70% but thinking ill crack 80% :D hopefully

First Section: Akhenaten
23 or 24
I LOVED this section. Exactly what I studied for.

Second Section: Minoans
21-22
Personally I think I did pretty well with this one, too. My lost marks may be in the religious practice... but I have a lot of correct stuff in that question, so I dunno, let's see how nice the markers are.

Third Section: New Kingdom Egypt
20-21
Lots of information and references, but maybe not enough on military reforms?

Fourth Section: Spartans
23-24
Ahhh, roles of women in Sparta. I thought that was just a dead giveaway.

My prediction: Late 80s or Early 90s... crosses fingers for 90s...

Section I- Agrippina: 23-24 (I got 25 in the trial) The last question was exactly the same as the one we did for an in-class test assessment.

Section 2- Minoans 23-24 (I got 23 in the trials)

Section 3- The Greek World 500-440BC- The question was exactly the same as the one I chose to do my essay assessment on (Themistocles,) so I think 24-25

Section 4- Augustus and The Julio-Claudians, I did the question on women, this is my weakest topic (I got 20 in the trial on a question on the army and the praetorian guard.) I think I got probably around 22.

I've worked really hard all year so I think I deserve those marks... I have a really good feeling about that test so hopefully all goes well with the results! (I'm usually a pretty accurate judge but these are just guesses and who knows with the HSC...)

It is my strong belief that an Ancient History Exam can't ever be a shocker. The beauty of ancient is the fact that you can predict what they are going to ask almost exactly (taking into account slight re-wording, but the gist is the same) so if you do the preparation and put the work in then you will get the mark that parallels your prep. I've been averaging bout 93ish through the year so probably about 93-95 (fingers crossed) but i'm pretty sure i'll get above 90.

WoW u guys are all VERY optimistic arnt you.......if only u were all marking your own work hey! unlucky for you...do u all honestly think thats a realistic expectation?? like im not trying to have a go or anything bcoz it may well be...its just surprising that almost everyone who has posted is posting like 24's and 25's.....i hope that it is realistic bcoz thats awsome!

i didnt, i posted 22 and 23's... and i dont know if thats realistic because its hard to predict how they mark... but i would say the essays i wrote were similar to if not better than the ones i wrote in class, and the kinds of marks i got for them were 22 or 23 cause i remembered all my quotes and sources, i wrote well and established all my favourite points so i think i did well
