prelim content in HSC - maths (1 Viewer)

I've been told that up to 30% of prelim content in maths is tested in HSC, but I was wondering if that 30% is kind of recovered/more so a foundation to concepts taught in year 12 or if prelim content is quite literally in the HSC?

examples: perms and combs, binomials, exponential growth and decay even motion

you don't really build on these in y12 they exist as normal topics. Y12 you do more topics like calculus, diff equations, vectors etc

I should probably start paying more attention in math o_O thank you for clarifying!

It can also be that part (a) of a question is on preliminary content and then is connected to a question on HSC content in parts (b), (c), ...
