Hi guys,

I was wandering if any of you know any good preliminary seminars, study camps etc. run in NSW?

I know that Macquarie Uni runs some for the HSC courses, but they don't seem to be for the preliminary year.

Also, can someone in year 11 go to one of these courses even though they are for the HSC?

Thanks

http://www.edassist.com.au/category.do?idCateg=53 Held at Usyd, resonable
www.prior.edu.au Held in chatswood/bondi very expensive prob the best for revision and higher skills(dont go if your not good at maths ext1, waste of money if u dont understand)
www.e-study.com.au (northshore college) mainly held in chatswood but you have to ring up for the courses.
http://www.newcollege.com.au/course/holiday_y11.html/ (pre-uni)
http://www.hi.com.au/theleadingedge/preliminary.htm great lectures for eco and biz heaps of people go to them, prob the best.
I've been to pre uni for english it is resonable, edassist is the most popular, im going to prior ext maths during these holidays, english at northshore is quite good depends on the teacher.

Hmmm going to study seminars ment for HSC students would be a waste of time for you right now as the information covered would not be relevant for the preliminary course, although the exam writting techniques taught in say English would.

And guys I can't stress this enough it is preliminary try to enjoy your last moments of freedom while you still can. I am not saying to bludge the entire year and just pass courses but in the same sentence once you start HSC all marks are wiped so as long as you can retain the skills and 'some' knowledge learn't in preliminary you shall be fine.

*Just my bit of advice, take these and your next set of holidays as holidays because from then on its HSC year and no holidays is a holiday!

I wish I had known that eduassist did year 11 courses! I thought they only did year 12...I would have liked to go but its too late now...

Are they doing any more yr 11 courses later in the year? I cant seem to find it on the website.

It's not too late, you can still choose to attend - they are still a week away.

You will find that there won't be many preliminary seminars/lectures after this month as remember students complete the preliminary course in term 3 and do examinations, then begin the HSC course in term 4. So there's not a lot of time left before then.
Its too late for me to organise to get there and all. I live about an hour from the city. Im really disapointed. Oh well.

I forgot that year 11 is nearly over. Scary...

Join their mailing list, they'll send out all the info on their yr11 and 12 courses about a month before each school holiday. http://www.edassist.com.au/mailinglist.jsp

Re:HSC & Preliminary Seminars, camps, workshops etc.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know anything about HSC lectures for specific subjects in these holidays? I am trying to find one for business studies but am not sure if any are available. Does anybody know?

Thanks
Daniel
