well as a speculative investment

I'm not saying its necessarily a good idea, but its a heck of a lot better than buying them to wear unless you're seriously loaded
save the money instead

Lots of luxury goods appreciate over time especially if they're untouched and free of any manufacturing flaws... but I don't think most sneakers are great for resale in the future so may as well just wear them on rotation with my other nice sneakers.

Mind you I also usually wear normal Vans especially in bad weather.
