Hi guys,
I was wondering if private math lessons are better than group tutoring? How does private math lessons compare to Dr Du, Ngo and Scoms?

In that case, I suggest before you make the discision to move to private tuition to try switching up the way in which you facilitate knowledge. Ie: I've seen so many people write notes immediately as the teacher starts writting- and its very harmful. Listen to the teacher and then make notes in your own wording- or don't at all for the class (given ngo and sons gives online copy of the class) and just write notes when you get access to the videos.

ngo doesn't let you write notes while the teacher is going through the content - if my teacher catches you for instance he'll call you out in front of everyone

omg really? i feel like the maths teachers at my school despise tutoring more than they're letting on, but they've just given up because i think almost everyone in every single stream of maths is doing tutoring

yeah but the textbook is like $70

i'd say they're being resourceful, i don't think all of their questions are used in their theory books entirely,

it's like tutoring centres using harder qns from other schools and putting them into their theory booklets as harder questions. it's not that bad, and they're used for a reason

when he mentioned drives i was talking about ruse, nsg, other school drives etc, not scom.. i wasn't roasting u specifically (just mentioned bc ur the du guy here, sorry if it seemd like i roasted u) - moreos note that du supposedly has nonstandard set/interval notation

mb. I thought u were talking ab me making a mistake in one of the hw booklets I was given by du and somehow the teacher remembered that from yrs ago and said that online I was using 'incorrect notation' or smn.
