Our public school has a centre for the arts. Music, performing arts, etc... We have a hall just for performances with professional lights (which cost thousands) and cinema-like seats. Our school puts the money to use.
I'm not saying all private schools suck. Nor do all public schools rock. But I said that every person I know who has transferred from private to public agrees that the public system is better.
I'm not bullshitting about anything. I swear to God, that's the actual state of those schools. I could get you pictures, but one of them is in Perth and I'm not going all the way over there
In a general sense, I definitely prefer public schooling over private. Private seems like a waste of money. In the end, it's how you use the resources. Having 5 uniforms won't make you a doctor. Have 4 ovals won't make you an accountant. Have a pool won't make you a dentist. Your best resources are your teachers. It's up to the individual if they want to do well - not their parents bribing them with a poshy school which has however many billions of acres. If you love it so much, go to boarding school. They have better facilities, I guarantee it.
Oh, and did I mention that our public schools have tall gates for extra security? None of the mentioned private schools did.
