i) A has tension to the right, B has tension up and weight force down

5mx..=4mg (the force is for 5m worth of block)

should be right

ok stupid so all of the force is coming from the gravity, which only applies to B since A obv has a surface below it. so just purely ignoring the existence of A, the net force is going to be F=4mg. however this overall force is sorta “shared” between A and B, so in effect we can treat them as one big mass in F=ma, so therefore their net force is 5ma from that equations, which we can then equate to the net force 4mg.
