As far as I know (which isnt very far), release dates are usually different for differing countries unless that product is slated for a simultaneous worldwide release..

And about "Final Fantasy X", what type of game is it - theres sdo mucha hype about it, but i'm not usually trusting of a new series (as sequels usually suck) ...
