Hmm.. maybe psych at MQ is only rated highly against other uni's for undergraduate psych? and postgrad is pretty standard?Grizzly said:

Every uni has different specialities after undergraduate. I think Macq is strong in the Master of Organisational Psych...but I guess they might not be as strong in another area.
In terms of undergrad...Macq is second to none. From my experiences of first year the lecturers seemed to be at the forefront of research for their respective areas.

He's only briefly mentioned in personality (104- this is where the ego etc is mentioned) and developmental psych (105). In 105, you'll find yourself concentrating more on a guy called Jean Piaget who took some of Freud's ideas and put them to practical use and found out whether they were true or not (in regards to child development and, as AsyLum mentioned, the Oedipus complex). Of course he developed his own ideas, which are sometimes juxtaposed to Freud, but its all interesting stuff! You watch videos of his hypotheses at work- always a great time waster!fornstar said:
