question re. commerce/law double degree (1 Viewer)

do comm/law first year students study EXACTLY the same subjects as just plain commerce students?

that is, if i am going to give law a shot, is it easy to drop law anytime in those 3 years, and obtain a commerce degree at the same time as the plain commerce students (3 years) in the case that i figure law is not for me?

also, i was wondering what the workload is like for first year comm/law.
as in, will a social life exist?

you would study the 6 core subjects - Accounting1A/B, Macro/Microeconomics, QMA/B, but instead of the commerce elective, you must study Foundations of Law and Torts

there is something like 14 hours of lectures per week
of course there is a social life....in fact there is so much spare time you should get involved in extracurricular life.....in fact the STUDENT GUILD NEEDS YOU!!! *uncle sam pointing finger*

The only think that i don't like in the combined law degre, the one thing i hate in fact, is that i can only have one major in commerce instead of 2. I had enough trouble deciding over the 2 already, I DON'T NEED THE PROBLEM COMPOUNDED DAMMIT!! =(

hey airness, i'm having the same problem
i really wanna double major in commerce/business, but doing combined law doens't allow that =(
i hear you're allowed to do it at usyd though

you used to be able to do 2 commerce majors in USYD comlaw, but even now that has changed.

you should be happy with your decision to do law; otherwise, don't do it at all.

Both law and commerce are passions. But i have a better idea of what i want to get into in law than i do commerce. Hence, i'd like to have had a better opportunity to explore. But yeah, wee unsw comm/law hopefully.
