I went out clubbin for the first time on fri, since i only turned 18 recently, and i was at the bar by myself buying a drink and this older guy prob nearly 30 came up to me and asked me if i wanted to dance, i didnt want to dance then, plus he was a bit too old, so i said no thanks then he said come on just come and dance after u get a drink, and i nicely said no again, and he was still persistant in asking so i just said mabye later, then he told me where he would be.
how do you politely reject someones offer?and what do u do if they dont take no for a answer? just walk off?
myfriends were sitting down so they couldnt drag me away

I think that you just have to be polite and firm. Saying 'no' is polite or bitchy depending on how you say it I guess. But if he keeps asking you after being rejected heaps I think you are perfectly withing your rights to tell him to fuck off :D

A nice big "fuck off" usually works.

But yeah, try and be polite at first.

Happy B'day for you first of all.
It's good that you don't go to clubs by yourself, and also try to stay with a group most of the time. That way you could get out of sticky situations easier.
As for the rejection part, point to a guy in your group and go, "sorry can't, if my bf sees you, he'll be pissed." or just point to any guy.
If they are being really persistant i guess the good old swear word works a charm...

Yeah there are alot of those guys in clubs, and the same thing happened to a friend of mine. We devised a little method, it has worked everytime weve gone to a club and a guy starts pestering her. If she ever goes to get a drink and im not with her, i watch her from a table or something. If a guy starts getting on her nerves she makes a hand gesture, and i walk up to him, tap him on the shoulder and say "What do you think youre doing?" and they back away, as most of them are cowardly creeps. I mean, what kind of 30 year old makes moves on an 18 yr old? Its disgusting really. If youve got some male friends to do this it will probably work, i cant guarantee it, but it has worked for the times it has happened to us. Or maybe its just because of my height, rippling shoulders, bustling arms and washboard abs?

guys in clubs generally do not get subtle messages (such as shoving them off of you when theyve just groped you and stuck their tongue down your throat).
basically, just tell them your not interested, then go and hide with some friends for a bit (always good if you can take a male friend with you to act as a bf if you need it), and then go and have fun and theyve generally forgotton all about it before long.
