Were the HSC exam for Mathematics (2U) harder in the 90s compared to the present decade?

I think the questions started getting a little harder at earlier stages. Q10s were around the same level though.

I've completed the 2003 and 2008 paper and the papers from 1990-1996 (for practice) and scored an average of around 108 (still one year to go!) I found the Q 10s for the recent papers much harder than the papers from earlier on. However, reading the comments in this forum, people have been saying that in the 90s, the papers were much more challenging. So I still want more opinions!
