My school has lots of groups but now we're older we all get along, even if we have nothing in common. There are lots of goth wannabes in the younger years though :(

- Popular group(s)--yes, there's two to three
- Not-so-smart whites
- errr.....I dunno the social scene too well--how ironic, I can be a bit of a 'drifter' if I want to.

smart skanks
dumb skank(who eventually dropped out)
smart nerds
then just dorky nerds
cool nerds
potheads/junkies
asians who spoke no english
afghans/iranians who spoke no english
ofcourse all these groups intertwined and everyone mixed

but i wonder what the skanks would class them selves as
to us they are skanks..to themselves what are they?

i was in the cool nerds/smart skanks/dumb skanks for a while
i left as a cool nerd...but i will always remain a skank within
i dunno..

groups in our grade were a big thing..but the older you get ..yr 11 and 12..the smaller the grade gets and the closer everyone becomes with everyone

there isn't really much segmenting of social groups at my school. Now that were seniors we all kinda tlak to everyone but I remember in yr10 it used to be really segmented and you only knew and talked to people in your own group.

yep, we're more or less split, but not confined to it or anything. just certain types of people tend to hang around each other. but it's nothing like how american teenage schools are portrayed in movies. nothing as dramatic

my grade divides mainly into 2 groups: white and asians. there r sub-groups within.

there is almost no asians in the white group, and heaps of white in the asian group.

Everybody is scattered in their own little groups at my school. But it's like a heirarchy - the 'popular' groups (about half the grade) sit in the new-ish spot at our school, then as you move across the school, the less popular groups emerge (except the losers who sit in the dark crappy place and listen to their music whlst yelling and screaming).

We take up two of the three 'areas' (school blocks). Then the year 11's have another area, and the 'cool' kids sit near the old school canteen, in this yucky ghetto-looking spot. Again, as you progress through the school, the less popular groups there are.

Hope oyu get my drift. :p Trev should.

Everyone seems alot closer though I reckon this last year, ie. from different groups. School is fun fun, apart from the class part :p

haha..we have..
- the 'popular' group- ie. they think there popular coz their sluts but really everyone hates them
- the goths
- lezzos (which hang with the goths)
- the secretly slutty group
- the various asian groups
- the smart group/s
- the boring group
- us the 'normal group' (like 3/4 of our group are prefects: not including me :) )
- the racist people (who are totally anti-asian)

that's all i can really think of for now...

Yeah, that is true. But it seems funny how it works, doesn't it?

That's right, except you forgot certain subgroups...like...
- Music nerds
- Sporty girls

I'm sure there are more, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.
