Chill. No need to write things like that.
It is the medical term. Yes. Emy probably doesnt like to use it because of its connotations. She doesnt differentiate in value between a baby and a foetus.
What connotations?
The only connotation foetus has is that it means INSIDE THE WOMB.

What are you talking about
If you read some of the earlier posts , there were a few people dropping this line about having problems with abortion in general but that this ( 11 yr old girl) was an exeption.
To me that seemed illogical and ill considered.

Perhaps that foetus sounds far more impersonally and scientifically devoid of attachment, as opposed to the term baby, which most identify as a cuddley ball of chubby =)
But alas, it is still a foetus.

thats not the connotation Boris , thats like the meaning.
Connotations of baby : Family , cute , young person , defenceless - needs to be protected, loveable etc.

Yeah but it's just like her calling Electricity "Jesus Magic!".
It's incorrect. It's like calling a duck a whale.

It's plain wrong. Incorrect. False. Hokum. Poppycock.

Dig?
I know what you are saying. I was just trying to explain Emy taylor to you. To defend her , if you will.

exactly the reason i dont like using the term. It restricts it to an object rather then human life

They understand your point of view. They just think it's retarded.

And I'm pretty sure you'll try again. You don't know when to stop and lack the metal capacity to form a logical argument anyway. You swing and contradict yourself.

It doesn't restrice it to an object. It is a foetus, not a fricken arm chair

So basically what you're saying is, she refuses to use foetus because it doesnt have the same cute and fluffy connotations that baby has. And if you can't appeal to the emotions, your arguments are lacklustre.

it is illogical and ill considered to view the world in shades of grey?
to consider the motivation and circumstances in which an act is being proposed?

youre the one who is illogical. your opinions are ill considered.

you have got the most twisted view on christianity i have ever seen.
he's twisted? you're girl who disagrees with the choice of a 11 year old to abort a incestuous rape baby....because jesus says so? because god wants a 11 year old to give birth to her uncles child?

Yes.
Also , she might think that the word foetus is used specifically to cause people to omit the connotations . I probably shouldnt answer for her....

It's the correct term. It's the same as an egg isn't a chicken. It's an egg.
