I honestly don't know how to tackle this module. What's the purpose/rationale/set of rules that control this module? I'm doing the speeches (ugh) at the moment, and it's killing me.

AOS, Module A and even C seem exciting though.

I guess I'd say the rationale of the module is to critically appreciate your texts. You are not given a theme so to speak to pick at as for AOS or Mod C, nor is it a comparison study as A.

I think the way I got my head around this, is to think what different interpretations could emerge from my texts. I read differing critics to see the scope of interpretation on my texts. Why has the composor used certain techniques, what is their intent? What themes are explored in your speeches?

Then when you draw your essay together, you can holistically have an overview of the speeches, which common elements may emerge by theme or technique. Having an integrated structure is much more refined, and show you have a critical appreciation of the speeches as a whole.
