Business Studies gets scaled down a bit doesnt it? And along with the fact that (i believe) its capped at 98%, you'd be needing to come close to the top in the state to get high band 6?

Band 6 refers to the mark the Board of Studies gives you. It is the standard that the Board of Studies decides is deserving of a band 6 (90+ on the mark they give you). So it has nothing to do with scaling.

IF that is so, why do people talk of what raw mark will get 90+ in 4u maths for example? Read throughout the 4u maths forums you will find they say stuff like 75% or so will get SCALED to a band 6?

Because the people who said it gets "SCALED to a band 6" is wrong. This is because the Board of Studies mark is what the Board of Studies people determine to be of a band 6 standard, e.g. they may recognise a 50% raw mark in 4U to be a standard worthy of 90/100. It has nothing to do scaling. Scaling = used to determine UAI contribution from the raw mark. The mark the Board of Studies reports to you has nothing to do with scaling. Scaling is just used as a tool for UAC to determine UAI contribution points.

well axpromately 4-6 % of people got band 6 last yr in business.. that might help

lmao his hsc is over! i think you need an assessment mark of high 90s (98) to get a high band 6 in business (assuming you will kick ass in external)

ahh i feel the samee wayy!....im soo going to be stressed abt this mark the most in the month after hsc and before results!....i rekon business is like nearly aligned the same as raw?...(if u get 96% in the exam i think itll be around 96).
