I was mainly curious as to whether you had 'official' info or just guesses.
It's not a guess - I'm certain its a valid statistic, but its not as if I got it from some sort of official document or anything. Oh and yeah I'm not sayin that its going to be the case for every year but just in general.

he is exactly right....

teahcers say that if u can complile enough marks for 5 full questions ull get E4.... thats exactly 75/120.... ull get around E4.....

thats right 90/120!!! LOL i know people that got mid 90s for four unit they didnt even get upto question 7... so from wat ur saying ud have to get perfect for the first 6 just to get NINE ZERO, let alone nine four

lol fine dont believe me. However, remember that there are HEAPS of people out there who dont even have a chance of passing the hsc 4u exam, let alone getting up close to a hundred. Considering that >25% of the state usually gets a band e4, I dont see how the cut off could possibly be as high as 90/120. My school has around 50 doing 4u, but I'm certain at least half of them will get < 50% (and yes I agree they shouldnt be doing 4u in the first place)
actually in 2002 31% of the state got E4 in 4u
Then 50% got E3
That's not bad at all
but an E4 will get any1 set for a good UAI

My friend did the 4u exam last year and she came out crying coz she didn't even finish question five nor look at question 6, 7 or 8...but guess what? her final scaled mark was 97!!!...now...how does that work?...so why are people saying that the mark for E4 is about 90+/120?

No, I'm sorry, that didn't happen.

I meant as in I have a good shot at 95+, and even my result in CSSA trial would get me a decent band E4.

yep its unrealistic, the scaled exam mark cant possibly b 97 with a 75/120 (thats full marks for 5 questions and also taking into account that q6,7,8 wernt even lookd at), mayb high E3 to low E4 wud b a lil more believable with such a raw mark

If we are saying that 60% goes to band 6, then i wud assume u would be looking at a mid E3 however this is all speculation
