I was wondering if i'm currently a Christmas Casual at David Jones is it possible to resign now since say i got offered a different job and want to spend the next 2 weeks before the start of the new job to travel and enjoy my holidays ? If so, what do i have to do? Do i need to talk to the manager or can i just call the HR since i dont really like my manager nor my supervisor. Do i need to provide them with a valid excuse?

thanks in advance =P

Casuals can leave whenever they want, u dont have to sign anything, leave with like 2 weeks notice or write a resignation note - all u really need to do is say i dont want any more shifts.

Honestly if you haven't been working there for over 6 months you can leave on the spot if you really want.

But ideally just speak to the person giving you shifts.
You can either tell the truth.. or just say some random shit like something came up and you can't work during the xmas period anymore blah blah..

I'm also thinking of resigning from my job after a month working there. I work part time and hate the gits who work there.

Will a phone call to the manager do?
