^^ pretty much it means that you have to get within 10points of 81 for the RET score to be useful, so if you get a score of 71 in your UAI and the course you wanna get into is like 81, then you can, because your score is within 10 points of your mark...

i got 66, hmm, guess its kinda okay, so if happen to get a UAI of 56 i can still be lucky enough to get into one of my courses :)

i got 86 so i guess thats a good result. but if i get a UAI of 75.9, does that make my ret score irrelevent?

Its actually the opposite. Its like having an 86 UAI to any UWS courses.

only if its within 10 point range. -> ie. if ur uai is 10 marks below the uac cut off, and ur ret score is higher than both ur uai and the uac cut-off score, then uws will look at ur ret score and accept u based on that.

Ok. I'm really freaking out about my score...is it out of 100 as a rank or 200 as the raw STAT score? Because mine is 100. And I don't see how I could be the top RET candidate/perfect scorer...can someone clear this up? Did I somehow do really well or did I get 50%(100/200)
*bursts into tears*

I did the RET or STAT or whateva test when I did my HSC.

When I did it your RET score cannot lift ur UAI more than 10 points.
So if you get 100 RET with:

UAI 50: uws considers your UAI to be 60
UAI 90: uws cosiders your UAI to be 100

If your UAI is higher than your RET score, RET is useless.
